Position Summary

  • Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of hard and carpeted floors across various areas, including offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining rooms. Duties also include collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen, ensuring their proper disposal. Additional outdoor responsibilities may include maintaining grounds.
  • Safety: Ensure the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions, adhering to safety standards and reporting any equipment or cleaning product issues to a supervisor promptly. Maintain infection control and universal precautions at all times, ensuring a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Demonstrate consistent attendance, arrive on time, and complete assigned cleaning areas as per schedule, responding to the paging system promptly.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by adhering to instructions and maintaining courteous relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Foster positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • After completing appropriate training, demonstrate leadership capabilities to fulfill responsibilities independently while ensuring safety.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Punctual availability for scheduled shifts is essential.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as mandated by local, state, and/or customer requirements, is necessary.
  • Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in environments with food and cleaning products.
  • Residency in the service area is required.
