This role is situated within Information Technology Operations, providing essential support to our Van Dyke Electric Powertrain Center, where we manufacture electric power units and hybrid transmissions for our highly regarded Ford and Lincoln products, including the F-150 Lightning, Escape, Edge, Kuga, Maverick, Corsair, and more. This position presents an exceptional opportunity to join the Site IT team and play a key role in rethinking how IT supports our manufacturing operations as we modernize the plant floor with new technologies aimed at reducing complexity and enhancing efficiency.

As a member of the Plant IT team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the systems that keep our plant lines operational. Your responsibilities will encompass providing technical troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem resolution for the applications and infrastructure utilized in the production of transmissions for Ford and Lincoln vehicles globally.

In addition, you will contribute your expertise towards advancing process improvement initiatives that promote flexible and lean manufacturing, enable the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) for manufacturing, and support existing manufacturing execution systems within the facility. Key Responsibilities:
– Support a multi-shift operation within the manufacturing plant, requiring flexible working hours to accommodate business needs, including rotations for days, nights, and weekends.
– Provide technical support across various IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools to plant business customers.
– Collaborate with Business IT and stakeholders to prioritize improvement initiatives.
– Assist Plant Floor Systems and PDO teams in incident resolution; support escalations, and provide hands-on assistance to various teams including DBA, Server Operations, and Network Operations as necessary.
– Focus on the long-term maintenance and integration of applications and hardware.
– Assist team leadership with workload management and task assignments.
– Develop, maintain, and disseminate comprehensive support documentation.
– Support local network equipment within a Cisco environment.
– Manage local servers in both physical and virtual environments, ensuring operational integrity in Windows and Linux ecosystems.
– Collaborate on IIOT deployment and expansion efforts utilizing iOS and Android devices.

Qualifications:
– High School diploma.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting Enterprise IT in areas such as:
– Dell PCs, Dell Laptops, HP Printers, and HP Servers.
– Windows Server and Windows Active Directory/ADFS.
– Virtual Machine servers (vSphere).
– Server Administration (Windows 2012+ or Linux).

Preferred Qualifications:
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Experience working collaboratively with diverse, cross-functional teams under pressure.
– Capability to communicate effectively with both business users and IT professionals, including distributed global teams.
– Ability to tailor communications for various audiences, effectively engaging with all levels of management.
– Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
– Manufacturing experience is desirable but not required.
