Job description:

Nino Salvaggio is currently seeking a Party Planning Associate/Curbside Shopper for our Troy location.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of products and services featured in Nino’s Party Planning Guide.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in menu planning, considering factors that influence menu selections, common food pairings, typical portion sizes, and the necessary quantities. This includes making wine pairing suggestions, recommending ancillary items (such as flowers and balloons), and understanding rental or food preparation equipment requirements.
  • Utilize Nino’s Party Planning Order Entry software effectively.
  • Ensure meticulous follow-through and follow-up on all PPG/Catering orders, guaranteeing that each order is executed with precision from start to finish, including accuracy, quality, and delivery coordination.
  • Collaborate with various complementary departments (e.g., Floral, Wine, Bakery, Produce Prep, Deli) to fulfil customer orders and requests.
  • Execute Fresh to Go services appropriately, including navigating the e-grocery/Fresh to Go system, processing orders efficiently, bagging groceries, and ensuring proper storage prior to delivery.
  • Adhere to proper protocols for notifying customers regarding product substitutions.
  • Deliver an exceptional Fresh to Go experience, ensuring order accuracy, timely fulfilment, and efficient delivery.
  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, assisting customers with their orders, addressing inquiries, and offering suggestions as appropriate.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of products available in all departments, with a specific focus on Gourmet to Go.
  • Replenish Party Planning Guides and supplementary materials throughout the store.
  • Participate in Responsible Alcohol Sales training and adhere to all relevant alcohol sales regulations, laws, and ordinances.
  • Accurately operate the cash register and handle customer payments when required.
  • Maintain organizational systems for filing and cleanliness, ensuring a tidy work environment at all times.
  • Exhibit professionalism and composure while multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting in other departments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Previous experience in event planning is preferred.
  • Experience in cash handling is beneficial.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Background in sales and customer service is required.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a goal-oriented approach.
  • Positive attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset.
