This is a seasonal position running from early May 2025 through October 2025, with housing and meals provided at a rate of $19 per day. The Chef de Cuisine will work closely with the Executive Chef, supervising and coordinating the activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, and storeroom personnel. Responsibilities include purchasing and requisitioning ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment; participating in menu planning; managing food preparation and portion control; and ensuring adherence to cost-control measures. The Chef de Cuisine will also supervise the Stewarding staff to uphold kitchen cleanliness and equipment standards, as well as oversee Cooks to ensure food quality and adherence to preparation and presentation standards. Additionally, supervision of staff engaged in inventory, storage, and distribution of food and supplies will be required.

Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, and possess a strong understanding of financial goals and how to achieve them. A minimum of five years of cooking experience and two years in kitchen management is required, along with a Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit where applicable. Effective communication skills with the public and fellow employees are essential, as is meeting the minimum age requirement as mandated by jurisdiction. A college degree or certification in the culinary or hospitality field is preferred. It is also a requirement that no employee poses a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others.
