Responsibilities:

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
  • Operate laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of laundry activities and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precautions to uphold a sanitary environment.
  • Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Perform all other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a laundry setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to complete daily tasks.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push and pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and remain standing, sitting, bending, or walking for extended periods.
  • Capability to work with cleaning chemicals.
  • Aptitude for following both oral and written instructions and performing routine, repetitive tasks on a daily basis.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
