Job description:
This role involves the preparation of coffee shop beverages and food items, operating the cash register, and efficiently processing customer payments while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

– Prepare coffee shop beverages by brewing, mixing, and blending according to established standards.
– Prepare food items in compliance with designated procedures.
– Handle food and beverages safely, adhering to established guidelines, and maintain a clean work environment.
– Operate the cash register to record customer purchases and process various forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and coupons.
– Stock and rotate coffee items and merchandise displays.
– Stay informed about current store programs and product locations.
– Understand and efficiently operate check-stand and coffee shop equipment.
– Notify the department lead or manager regarding the need to order products and supplies.
– Comply with company policies related to security, cash handling, and product management.
– Maintain cleanliness and ensure the department is well-stocked, adhering to company safety and sanitation standards.
– Communicate company programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers while demonstrating high service standards to foster a customer-oriented environment.
– Follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines, as well as food safety and cleaning expectations.
– Adhere to guest experience guidelines.
– Perform tasks in other departments as needed based on customer experience demands.
– Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or GED preferred.
– One year of retail or related experience preferred.
– Strong verbal communication skills to interact politely and effectively with customers.
– Excellent customer service and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
