Job description:
A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas within the hotel. This includes servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with established hotel procedures, restocking the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities, all while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, this role may involve executing deep cleaning tasks within guest rooms as part of preventative maintenance initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with scheduling flexibility based on hotel needs.
- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including the proper uniform and name tag as per brand standards.
- Comply consistently with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to support safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms each shift.
- Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for the housekeeping cart.
- Remove all trash and dirty linens from guest rooms.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- May be required to disassemble furniture or items within guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
- Engage in deep cleaning tasks which may include changing the AC filter, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging closet slide doors.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Ability to convey information clearly and evaluate alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Capability to perform well in stressful and high-pressure situations.
