Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to deliver exceptional care to our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will play a vital role in assisting residents with activities of daily living while providing companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build genuine relationships with seniors.

(No licenses or certifications are required) – We are hiring immediately! Experience administering medications is essential, and candidates must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Capable of passing a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly population is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ID required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while consistently arriving on time for shifts.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position with Resident Aides scheduled for 8-hour shifts. Working every other weekend is a requirement.

Compensation:
