Position Summary
- Dietary Aide: Assist the Cook with meal preparation and service, accurately placing prepared food on plates/trays per established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen adhering to health standards.
- Safety: Utilize protective gear appropriately. Ensure the safe handling of cleaning solutions while following established safety protocols, reporting any equipment or product issues promptly. Adhere to infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Complete designated cleaning areas according to schedule and respond promptly to paging systems.
- Customer Experience: Positively represent HCSG through polite interactions with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff, while ensuring a positive and pleasant atmosphere for residents and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, performing routine tasks consistently.
- After completing all necessary training, utilize leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently, ensuring a safe work environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with specialized training in food service being desirable. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is mandated based on State/County regulations.
- Must demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required, as specified by state, local, and/or client mandates.
- Capable of lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and work around food and cleaning products.
- Residency in the service area is required.
Compensation for the position of Food Service Worker/Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide ranges from $14.42 to $17.04 per hour. Offered hourly rates are determined based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the operational needs of the facility serviced.
