Job description:

Position: Patient Service Specialist – Float
Location: E Main St (Columbus), OH Employee will be required to float between clinics in the Columbus market
Type of Employment: Full-time
Schedule: Weekdays (Hours Vary), Multiple evenings until 7pm
Compensation: Starting at $16/hr, commensurate with experience

At our outpatient physical therapy center in Columbus, we strive to provide an exceptional experience for every patient, commencing from their arrival at the front desk. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing both the patient interactions and business operations of our center. Your contribution is crucial to enhancing the care experience for our patients, even before they leave the waiting room.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and register patients, offering them clear information regarding their visit and details about their next appointment as they complete checkout.
  • Schedule patient appointments both in-person and via phone.
  • Maintain regular communication with a variety of stakeholders, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
  • Collect co-pays from patients, oversee payer approvals, and perform insurance authorizations and verifications.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

  • At least 1 year of front desk experience
  • Previous experience in the healthcare sector
