Key Responsibilities:

– Develop weekly dining room menus utilizing personal or established recipes.
– Supervise food preparation, ensuring adherence to quality, presentation, and sanitation standards while verifying portion sizes and compliance with departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
– Oversee the functionality of all kitchen equipment and guide team members in maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, including walk-ins and freezers. Ensure proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food.
– Proactively manage food costs within the parameters established by culinary leadership.
– Execute opening, closing, and side work duties in accordance with established guidelines.

Qualifications:

– A minimum of two years of experience as a Line Cook, Lead Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor.
– Strong communication skills, particularly in a leadership capacity.
– Attention to detail, with basic math skills to accurately calculate and follow recipe measurements.
– Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– A college degree is not required.

Physical Requirements:

– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
– Capacity to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of the shift, with occasional pushing and pulling to maneuver equipment, mops, and brooms.
– Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids.
