Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner within the bar area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Set up assigned bars by requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
  • Maintain stock levels and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greet guests courteously and with a friendly demeanor.
  • Take and process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks according to standard recipes while practicing prudent portion control.
  • Verify proper identification for guests at the bar.
  • Recognize signs of guest inebriation and respond appropriately, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Handle cash transactions, providing change and ensuring the validity of charges, while accurately recording and executing vouchers.
  • Secure all beverage products, food items, equipment, deposits, and cash drops, locking up and securing the bar area.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards, ensuring the workspace is organized and presentable.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to create an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Wash and sterilize stemware.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
