Job description:

DanceBUG is actively seeking skilled photographers to capture the vibrancy and artistry of dance performances across the United States. This temporary role, spanning from February to June 2025, involves producing high-quality imagery, managing photographic data, and engaging in nationwide travel to dance events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture well-composed images of dancers while adjusting camera settings for optimal results.
  • Utilize bespoke software on a provided laptop to manage data efficiently.
  • Upload and/or ship data as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with assigned Coaches, Managers, and Onsite Contacts.
  • Travel extensively to various events nationwide.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional photography experience.
  • Proven expertise in shooting dance, live events, sports, concerts, or theater.
  • Familiarity with low-light shooting conditions.
  • Proficient in adjusting camera settings (exposure, white balance, ISO, etc.) quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to manage photographic data and work during production hours.
  • Valid American Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Willingness to travel on Thursdays and Mondays, with work scheduled from Fridays to Sundays.

Equipment Requirements:

  • Two professional-level DSLR camera bodies (mirrorless models preferred).
  • Two of the following lenses (f/2.8 or f/4.0), compatible with both camera bodies:
    • 24-70mm
    • 24-105mm
    • 24-120mm
    • 70-200mm
  • A minimum of two camera batteries and a charger.
  • A monopod.
  • Four memory cards with a minimum storage capacity of 64GB each.
