Job Overview
We are seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst to administer, configure, and maintain the UC IAM systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating issues, resolving support tickets from users, gathering requirements, implementing new IAM solutions, and collaborating effectively with both academic and administrative departments.

Essential Functions

  • Manage user account lifecycle processes, including creation, provisioning, security, and deactivation of access, primarily through automated methods.
  • Configure IAM components such as drivers and scripts, ensuring their functionality, efficiency, and robustness.
  • Participate in projects and operational support for the implementation of IAM solutions, coordinating with university stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Collaborate in the design, implementation, and support of IAM technologies.
  • Ensure standardized processes and procedures are established for the rollout of new provisioning and role management points.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and supporting Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) integrations and strategies.
  • Document and archive all authorization evidence according to organizational standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to IAM tools and processes.
  • Support application upgrades and evaluate new technology, settings, and functionalities.
  • Enforce organizational policies to ensure that only authorized personnel access information in line with RBAC principles and least privilege guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing audits and risk assessments, following through on audit recommendations.
  • Disable dormant accounts and records to eliminate unnecessary access for users who no longer require it.
  • Develop system access and security implementation plans based on operational needs and requests.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on standard operating procedures, system configurations, and technical settings for internal team use and support of other IT teams as necessary.
  • Recommend process improvements and develop automation solutions to enhance efficiency in IAM operations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to the UC community, including students, faculty, and staff.
  • Produce and update documentation to record the IAM environment, including configuration settings, operating procedures, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Education

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management systems, platforms, and processes.
  • Experience with Micro Focus NetIQ Identity and Access Management and Microsoft Active Directory/Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Previous work experience in a higher education setting.
  • Proficiency with both Linux and Windows servers.
  • Knowledge of Federated Authentication/SSO.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to write SQL queries.
