Key Responsibilities:
– Develop weekly dining room menus derived from personal or established recipes.
– Oversee food preparation, upholding quality, presentation, and sanitation standards while ensuring adherence to portion sizes, quality standards, and departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
– Guarantee that all kitchen equipment operates efficiently and supervise team members in the cleaning and food production processes, while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers. Ensure proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food items.
– Actively manage food costs within parameters established by culinary leadership.
– Execute opening, closing, and side work duties as directed, following proper guidelines.

Qualifications:
– A minimum of two years’ experience as a Line Cook, Lead Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor.
– Proven ability to communicate effectively in a leadership role.
– Attention to detail and strong basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements.
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
– A college degree is not required.

Physical Requirements:
– Capacity to carry up to 50 lbs.
– Ability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of the shift, with occasional pushing and pulling of equipment, mops, and brooms.
– Manual dexterity sufficient for chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping various foods and liquids.
