Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position involve preparing and cooking food at a designated station, maintaining cleanliness in prep areas, and ensuring that the kitchen remains well-stocked.
Responsibilities:
- Set up cooking stations and stock them with essential preparatory supplies.
- Prepare food on the line by performing tasks such as cutting, mixing, chopping, and creating sauces as needed.
- Cook menu items to quality standards and standardized recipes using methods such as grilling, frying, chopping, sautéing, and broiling.
- Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards by adhering to a restaurant cleaning checklist in compliance with state and local food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Handle and store food in a safe and proper manner.
- Conduct inventory counts before and after shifts, and complete food inventory or storage sheets.
- Ability to work on weekends, remain standing for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
