Job description:

Our client is a family-owned business operating in the supply chain and third-party logistics sector, with a strong reliance on Dynamics NAV and various EDI and EShip applications to manage their daily operations. As they prepare for an upcoming upgrade to Dynamics 365 Business Central, they are seeking an in-house ERP Administrator to assume ownership of their NAV system and associated applications while identifying pathways for improvement.

Your New Role:

  • Lead support initiatives for the organization’s Microsoft NAV ERP system.
  • Design and develop reports, simple pages, and basic customizations for the ERP platform.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between company stakeholders and the external Microsoft VAR.
  • Troubleshoot system errors and resolve issues effectively.
  • Provide training to users on ERP processes and support both internal and production floor ERP users.
  • Document workflows and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  • Manage and optimize integrated technologies, specifically in relation to WMS systems such as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and E-Ship.
  • Develop analytics, reports, and dashboards utilizing JET Analytics, JET Reports, and Power BI.
  • Offer recommendations and modifications to business applications essential for the continuous growth of the organization.
  • Support and improve internal line-of-business applications in conjunction with the ERP system.
  • Coordinate application and process change management concerning business applications.

What You’ll Need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and warehousing processes.
  • Experience with NAV to Business Central (BC) upgrades is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of C/AL, C#, or .NET programming is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with users and address their short and long-term issues.
  • Experience in documenting current business processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Proficiency with Jet Reports, SQL Server, or Power BI.
