Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph, is actively seeking a licensed massage therapist who is enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about the field. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional customer care and maintaining high standards of service. This position offers compensation based on an hourly rate, with additional earnings from gratuities, commissions, or tips. Average pay ranges from $30 to $56 per hour depending on the services rendered, along with attractive hotel stay discounts available through Marriott and Highgate Managed Hotels Worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a variety of massages and bodywork therapies.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Promote and up-sell spa services to clients.
  • Greet clients warmly and professionally.
  • Utilize and understand the Client Intake Form effectively.
  • Learn and apply new massage modalities and body wrap treatments.
  • Emphasize the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork.
  • Maintain sanitation procedures for all tools and equipment post-usage.
  • Ensure proper set up and breakdown of the treatment room.
  • Adhere to service timeframes for each appointment.
  • Post-service, prepare the treatment room, including changing linens.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions, including webinars.

Qualifications:

  • Comply with state, local, and county licensing laws, and carry liability insurance.
  • Proficient in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Hot Stone massage modalities.
  • Familiarity with additional modalities such as neuromuscular, myofascial, trigger point, prenatal, craniosacral, and reiki is preferred.
  • Uphold the service standards established by the Salon and Day Spa.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Passionate about the massage therapy field and committed to ongoing education.
  • Possess product knowledge and ability to make recommendations.
  • Adaptability for longer hours as needed.
  • Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or frequently or constantly moving objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and guests in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Demonstrate active listening skills to address concerns from guests and staff.
  • Effectively multitask and prioritize departmental responsibilities.
