Job description:
The primary responsibility of the Front Desk Associate is to deliver an outstanding guest experience while fulfilling Veridea’s sales-related objectives. The ideal candidate will provide concierge-level, solution-oriented service, simultaneously serving as an in-house sales representative.
Essential Functions:
1. Act as a concierge for guests, showcasing thorough knowledge of the local area and community offerings. Engage with guests in a sincere, professional, and courteous manner, going above and beyond standard obligations to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
2. Serve as an in-house sales representative for the hotel, engaging with guests to capture pertinent information and communicate it to hotel management for contract negotiations.
a. Fulfill all reporting requirements as directed by the Director of Revenues and Sales.
b. Employ effective sales techniques to maximize property sales, occupancy, and average rates.
Operational Functions:
1. Register and process guests efficiently upon arrival and departure.
2. Perform all guest accounting functions in accordance with established hotel operating procedures to ensure thorough and accurate completion of both guest and house accounts.
3. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all hotel services and facilities.
4. Adhere to all established credit and inventory control procedures to mitigate the risk of revenue loss.
5. Accurately receive and process telephone and walk-in reservations to guarantee guest satisfaction.
6. Address guest issues, complaints, or concerns with dedication and professionalism.
7. Competently operate the telephone system in alignment with Veridea standards.
8. Assume the role of manager on duty in the absence of management staff.
9. Understand and implement all hotel safety and security protocols to ensure a secure environment for both employees and guests.
10. Keep the immediate supervisor informed of any significant issues or unusual matters that arise, enabling prompt corrective action.
11. Proactively seek additional duties and responsibilities that will contribute to the effective operation of the hotel.
