Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Utilize protective gear in all appropriate tasks.
• Serve meals by placing prepared food on plates or trays according to tray tickets, adhering to our established policies and procedures, and following directions from the Food Services Director/Manager or Cook to ensure consistently high-quality food service.
• Prepare and deliver meals and trays, wash dishes, and clean and sanitize kitchen areas in compliance with health standards.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, maintain a professional appearance, and work effectively as part of a team.
• Embody the characteristics that drive the Company’s Purpose, Vision, Values, and DNA.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; specialized training in food service is preferred. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English, as well as the ability to follow directions and complete tasks.
• Capability to adhere to time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
• Keep a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Dependable with experience in environments that utilize quantity food production methods.
• General knowledge of nutrition and guidelines for food preparation.
• Ability to accurately interpret and apply requirements from food tray cards.
• Competence in maintaining records and completing reports as necessary.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as quantity food production and serving methods.
• Capacity to interact positively with residents, clients, colleagues, and the public.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift or carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
• Candidates must reside in the service area; relocation costs are not covered.
