We are currently seeking enthusiastic candidates for both full-time and part-time Barista positions at our Capital One Cafe located at 165 Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

While previous barista experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, as we are willing to provide training to the right candidates.

Compensation: The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary: The Barista role involves preparing and serving coffee and espresso beverages, as well as related food and beverage items. Adherence to HACCP guidelines and maintaining quality food service operations is essential. You will engage with customers and fellow employees in a friendly and courteous manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering, following standard measures and recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system; handle cash and credit transactions with diligence.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while ensuring cleanliness in the service area.
• Maintain proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, adhering to HACCP standards.
• Ensure the sanitation and orderliness of all equipment and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstation before transitioning to other tasks.
• Greet customers courteously and ensure their satisfaction, relaying concerns to supervisors as needed.
• Serve customers efficiently to avoid delays.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers.
• Utilize effective communication to aid customers in their purchasing decisions.
• Ensure all display foods are visually appealing and served neatly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
