We are seeking an experienced Senior Hosting Engineer to join our global cloud team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with maintaining cloud-based platforms and solutions for our clients, operating within a cloud-first, multi-cloud environment at KION. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be between $100,500 and $147,400 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors including work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Responsibilities:

– Develop, operate, and continuously enhance the KION Azure Cloud Environment to ensure system availability and service continuity.
– Assist in configuring and troubleshooting Azure Compute instances, Azure Backup, Azure Storage Monitor, Snapshot, Azure Storage, VNet, Load Balancers, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
– Manage costs and expenditures related to cloud resources using both Microsoft and third-party tools.
– Create and refine scripts utilizing PowerShell and Terraform.
– Monitor and conduct in-depth analysis of service failures (IT services, server, container, etc.) and implement solutions.
– Provide support to product teams with expertise in cloud services.
– Proactively initiate projects to enhance operational efficiency.
– Administer and upgrade systems (Windows and Linux servers).
– Develop technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform to become a Subject Matter Expert in both Azure and Google Cloud Platform over time.
– Successfully handle demanding projects on a time-sensitive basis.
– Configure virtual machines for optimal cost, performance, and security.
– Establish change control parameters for cloud resources.
– Monitor and respond to customer requests.

Qualifications:

– Strong proficiency in the administration of Windows or Linux operating systems.
– Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes (e.g., Ansible, Azure DevOps Pipelines).
– Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and various cloud delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
– Knowledge of shell scripting (PowerShell, CLI, or Bash) and contemporary cloud technologies for automation.
– Experience with monitoring or log aggregation tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Azure Monitor) is a plus.
