Job description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative support across all departments at Riverside, with an emphasis on the Human Resources department, while also managing the front reception desk. The HR Assistant is expected to collaborate effectively with staff, individuals served, families, and visitors, maintaining a warm and welcoming demeanor at all times.
As a member of the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Riverside), the incumbent is required to adhere to all Board policies, uphold the dignity of all individuals served, respect their rights, and exhibit sensitivity to diverse beliefs, cultures, values, and family structures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment.
- Successful completion of criminal background and Abuser Registry checks.
- Passing result on pre-employment drug screening.
- A valid State of Ohio driver’s license.

Duties:
- Execute, organize, analyze, and track administrative tasks for the Human Resources department, including the preparation of various complex and confidential documents, files, correspondence, reports, charts, and spreadsheets with minimal instruction.
- Serve as the primary Receptionist at the front desk, exhibiting tact, interpersonal skills, and sound judgment when interacting with a diverse array of contacts both inside and outside the organization.
- Maintain comprehensive computerized records and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Administer records within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Deliver exceptional customer service to a diverse population.
- Provide backup support for other Administrative Assistants as needed.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with additional hours as required.
