As a General Manager (GM), you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and daily direction to the sales and group personal training teams across two locations. This essential position requires a comprehensive understanding of sales and operational success, coupled with a fervent passion for coaching and talent development. As the primary leader for the sales function, the GM will implement a lead generation and marketing strategy to enhance fitness program sales and promote the health and wellness benefits synonymous with a healthy lifestyle. Responsibilities & Expectations: General Manager

  • Exemplify all studio activities and the sales process through active involvement and leading by example.
  • Consistently meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Lead and orchestrate initial and ongoing sales initiatives, including promotions, events, and outreach efforts. Implement effective lead generation strategies.
  • Oversee the employee life cycle for all studio-level staff, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluation, appropriate disciplinary actions, and offboarding.
  • Train and mentor staff while fostering a leadership pipeline, engaging in daily role-playing to sustain a high-performing team.
  • Manage studio budgets, including revenue, payroll, supplies, inventory management, and the Return Merchandise Authorization process.
  • Schedule sales staff and conduct weekly audits of time cards, ensuring accurate and timely payroll submission with compliance and integrity.
  • Organize and conduct monthly staff meetings with sales and fitness teams to review and discuss monthly sales targets, goals, events, and marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Regional Managers to report on performance metrics and studio developments.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach to optimize class sizes through effective scheduling.
  • Ensure adherence to front desk systems, including member check-in, handling telephone inquiries (both general and sales-related), booking first-time guest appointments, onboarding new members, and fulfilling other administrative duties.
  • Plan and promote monthly special events for the studio, utilizing OTF tools for outreach and community engagement.

Operational Duties

  • Ensure compliance with OTF business policies and the Thrive employee handbook in daily studio operations.
  • Maintain OTF branding through consistent actions, enforcing corporate policies, business practices, systems, and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate with the facilities department regarding studio equipment and technology, ensuring the facility is clean, well-maintained, and operationally sound.
  • Make informed decisions regarding customer service issues effectively.
