Position Overview
As a Coffee Sales Advisor, you will be an enthusiastic advocate for our client, Nespresso, and their premium range of espresso and coffee machines. This role is part of a nationwide sales and promotional initiative, taking place in select flagship houseware retailers such as Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma, Macy’s, and Bloomingdale’s. You will act as an in-store expert, engaging with customers and conducting live machine demonstrations to illustrate the superiority of Nespresso brewing products. Nespresso is guided by the fundamental belief that quality and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive. Through the Positive Cup Campaign, Nespresso is integrating sustainable practices into its operations, demonstrating that the coffee industry can be a catalyst for positive change by minimizing waste, promoting regenerative agriculture, and supporting resilient communities and livelihoods in farming. In your role as a Nespresso Expert, you will significantly contribute to showcasing this sustainable business model while illustrating how the brand accommodates a diverse array of taste preferences, enhancing customers’ morning rituals with barista-quality experiences at home.

Schedule & Location

• 8-12 hours per weekend
• 12 PM – 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional shifts on Fridays
• Cincinnati, OH 45209

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously express enthusiasm and passion for the Nespresso brand
• Deliver an immersive Nespresso experience through coffee tastings, engaging demonstrations, and personalized product recommendations
• Drive product sales and machine registrations through outstanding demonstrations, in-depth product knowledge, and coffee expertise
• Utilize effective sales techniques while conveying Nespresso’s sustainability and recycling initiatives
• Educate store associates to confidently communicate Nespresso product information
• Operate the Nespresso Trade mobile application for machine registrations and coffee orders
• Uphold hygiene standards and visual presentation in the tasting/demo area
• Ensure that demonstration machines are maintained in a clean and operational state
• Cultivate positive professional relationships with store leaders and associates
• Attend required training sessions and team conference calls
• Complete feedback surveys with images after each shift

Qualifications:

• Experience in retail, sales, or training preferred
• Passion for coffee and related beverages
• Experience in food demonstrations is advantageous
• Engaging demeanor with exemplary interpersonal skills
• Comfort presenting to both individuals and groups

Physical Requirements:

• Adherence to professional appearance standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capacity to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance
• Access to a personal smartphone with a data plan for work-related use
• Access to a Wi-Fi-enabled personal tablet or laptop for scheduled work shifts
• Reliable transportation
