The Store Manager will take a leadership role in driving sales by embracing an Omni-channel approach to enhance the retail experience. This position aims to cultivate an engaging and inspiring environment for customers while fostering a strong store culture rooted in fitness, wellness, and joy.

Role Responsibilities

Brand Experience

  • Act as a brand ambassador, embodying company values and collaborating with the leadership team to create an engaging in-store experience that resonates with FP Movement customers through community engagement, visual presentation, and lifestyle.
  • Champion the use of technology and provide training to the team to facilitate seamless transactions, ensuring that merchandising and display presentations contribute to an inviting atmosphere.
  • Foster an authentic connection with customers, encouraging the team to build lasting relationships through personalized service and product recommendations aligned with shared interests in wellness and fitness.
  • Collaborate with the store team and Home Office to establish meaningful fitness connections and develop consistent event programming reflective of local customer interests, overseeing the planning and execution of inspiring events designed to drive engagement.

Leadership + Team Management

  • Develop a proactive talent plan to build a robust internal talent pool, maintain a connection with potential candidates, hire outstanding individuals, and create personalized succession paths; ensure impactful onboarding for all new employees to strengthen brand, customer, and store connections.
  • Act as the manager-on-duty, fostering engagement in each zone through effective communication, adaptability, and collaboration; demonstrate sound decision-making and multitasking abilities.
  • Prioritize employee development to ensure the team’s expertise regarding product fit, fabrication, and function, delivering timely and specific feedback to nurture a culture of action and accountability.

Visual + Business Operations

  • Oversee daily operating procedures, including staff scheduling and payroll management.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure timely and effective execution of visual priorities, interpreting Home Office visual direction to enhance store structure, display, merchandising, and outfitting.
  • Utilize Company tools to analyze business opportunities in product placement, outfitting, and stock levels; actively network with the local community to stay informed on fitness and wellness trends, generating ideas for events that foster community connection and drive sales.
  • Uphold the store’s safety standards, ensure inventory accuracy, mitigate product loss, and adhere to all company policies and procedures to support store profitability.

Communication + Relationships

  • Lead with an inclusive, people-first philosophy, engaging employees at all levels to promote open dialogue, reinforce accountability, and ensure that the store team feels valued and supported.
  • Cultivate a culture of communication and teamwork that balances customer service, operational responsibilities, and visual needs; stay informed and respond to interoffice communications, ensuring the dissemination of important company information to all levels of the team.
  • Promote a culture of development and goal-setting by dedicating time to direct reports, proactively setting goals, and providing feedback to support their personal growth.
  • Provide comprehensive insights into the customer experience concerning product, presentation, and events, offering feedback to the District Manager and actively participating in company and district forums to share store-specific scenarios and ideas.

Role Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of leadership experience in a retail setting.
  • A strong passion for FP Movement and/or a connection to the local fitness community.
  • A demonstrated track record of hiring and developing exceptional talent.
  • In-depth understanding of the merchandising process and its impact on business.
  • Experience in coaching and adept conflict resolution skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet the store’s needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range
The starting salary for this position is USD $60,000.00 per year.
