Job description:
The Line Cook plays a crucial role in our culinary team, contributing to an exceptional dining experience by accurately executing recipes and presenting dishes that are craveable, Instagram-worthy, and memorable, ensuring our guests leave eager to return.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Prepare dishes as assigned by the Chef or Sous Chefs, ensuring all menu items for your designated stations are executed to perfection.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of workplace safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading food tickets accurately.
- Utilize standardized recipe cards and plating guides to ensure consistency and quality in food presentation.
- Consistently uphold our high-quality standards in food preparation, contributing to positive guest feedback.
- Ensure timely order delivery from the kitchen to the dining area.
- Complete assigned tasks each day before your departure, communicating your exit to the Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef on duty.
- Adhere to daily cleaning and organizational standards in both storage and production areas.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with Health Department regulations and corporate standards.
- Assist fellow kitchen staff with cleaning, cooking, food prep, and receiving as needed.
- Execute all responsibilities while following health department sanitation requirements.
- Approach all assignments with enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism.
- Foster effective communication with team members and management.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in a high-volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment is preferred.
- Ability to engage with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
- Capacity to stand and move efficiently for extended periods, up to 8 hours, while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Flexibility in working hours is essential.
- Availability to work 8 or more hours per day.
