POSITION OVERVIEW:
This part-time role is based on-site in Detroit and requires presence during lunch hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.

As a Catering Coordinator, you will utilize your exceptional interpersonal skills and friendly disposition at the forefront of Cater2.me’s client engagement initiatives. You will be responsible for the setup and breakdown of catering services and events, collaborating closely with our Operations team to address challenges, forecast needs, and deliver memorable and satisfying client experiences. As the representative of our brand, you will navigate difficult situations with grace, proactively anticipate client needs, and—most importantly—enjoy your work.

The compensation for this position ranges from $22 to $24 per hour.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Embody the Cater2.me brand and values in all customer interactions.
  • Arrive promptly at client sites to facilitate food setup and cleanup.
  • Oversee meal service, ensuring food replenishment occurs swiftly and professionally.
  • Maintain a tidy and presentable service area at all times.
  • Collaborate with our Operations team to resolve issues that may arise during meal service.
  • Engage with clients in an open and welcoming manner.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding ingredients and allergens.
  • Provide daily feedback on meals through our web portal to enhance future menu planning.
  • Serve as a liaison, relaying information between clients, vendors, and Account Managers to optimize the overall client meal experience.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Compliance with health regulations, including receiving the COVID-19 vaccine by the hire date, is preferred.
  • Current Food Handler’s Card or the ability to obtain one by the start date.
  • Punctuality, self-motivation, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills along with a tenacious personality.
  • Capability to lift 25+ pounds safely.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of four hours.
  • Availability for weekday lunch shifts.
  • Preferred background in customer service, hospitality, food & beverage, housekeeping, or retail.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
