DIETARY AIDE – ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY

We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our Assisted Living Community. The starting wage for this position is $12.00 per hour, with part-time shifts available from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This role includes a rotating schedule every other weekend and holiday.

Summary:
The Dietary Aide will be responsible for setting and bussing tables, washing dishes, assisting the cook as needed, and performing cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary and inviting dining environment.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Must demonstrate a positive rapport with residents and families and work cooperatively with fellow employees.
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, community officials, referral sources, and the general public are essential.
• Regular and reliable attendance is a must.
• Must meet all state health requirements.
• Obtain a Food Handlers Permit as mandated by state regulations.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities (essential functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare, wash, and store dishes in accordance with facility procedures; maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area. Assist in serving meals when required and aid cooks in cleaning food service areas and equipment.
• Set up serving carts for each meal as necessary. Serve meals to residents’ tables according to facility procedures, bus tables, and prepare dishes for washing. Clean dining room tables, chairs, and the dining area; set tables for the next meal.
• Provide excellent customer service in all aspects of food service and work collaboratively as part of the Food Services team to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen. Comply with safety and sanitation practices and procedures.
