As a General Manager (GM), you will provide strategic leadership and daily direction to the sales and group personal training teams across two locations. This pivotal role requires a robust understanding of sales and operational excellence, coupled with a passion for coaching and talent development. As the leader of the sales function, you will implement a lead generation and marketing strategy aimed at boosting fitness program sales, while also promoting the health and wellness benefits associated with an active lifestyle. Responsibilities & Expectations for the General Manager:
– Exemplify studio activities and the sales process through active involvement and leading by example.
– Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
– Initiate and coordinate initial and ongoing sales drives, including promotions, events, and outreach efforts, while executing effective lead generation strategies.
– Oversee the employee lifecycle for all studio-level staff, encompassing recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and offboarding.
– Train and mentor staff, creating a leadership pipeline while engaging in daily role-playing to maintain a high-performing team.
– Ensure adherence to studio budgets, including revenue, payroll, supplies, inventory management, and the Return Merchandise Authorization process.
– Schedule the sales staff and audit timecards weekly, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of payroll in compliance with regulations.
– Organize and conduct monthly staff meetings with the sales and fitness teams to review monthly sales objectives, goals, events, and marketing campaigns.
– Attend weekly meetings with Regional Managers to report on performance and studio updates.
– Collaborate with the Head Coach to optimize scheduling and maintain OTF class sizes.
– Ensure compliance with front desk systems for member check-in, phone inquiries, guest bookings, and other necessary administrative tasks.
– Plan and promote special studio events using OTF tools for effective outreach and community engagement.
Operational Duties:
– Maintain compliance with OTF business policies and the Thrive employee handbook in daily studio operations.
– Uphold OTF branding through consistency and adherence to corporate policies, business practices, systems, and processes.
– Troubleshoot issues with the facilities department regarding studio equipment and technology, ensuring the facility remains clean and operational.
– Provide effective decision-making related to customer service concerns.
