JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is seeking a TeamCenter Support Administrator to join their team in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in development, implementation, support, and maintenance across a range of Engineering IT/PLM platforms, particularly Siemens Teamcenter. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, or equivalent practical experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Configure, implement, and administer TeamCenter applications, including Active Workspace, by deploying data model changes via the TeamCenter BMIDE tool to facilitate effective business solutions.
  • Implement new BMIDE extensions and integrate them into out-of-the-box operations through condition attachments.
  • Configure items, datasets, naming rules, and lists of values using BMIDE.
  • Provide support for developing proof of concept initiatives aimed at enhancing features and functionalities in TeamCenter PLM to align with business requirements. This includes maintaining knowledge management, system administration automation, and documentation for operating procedures.
  • Exhibit knowledge of Multi-CAD and Non-CAD object integration, utilizing TeamCenter PLM data management capabilities to oversee the lifecycle and lifecycle states of various objects within the TeamCenter database.
  • Support and lead the integration of an ERP system, demonstrating a solid understanding of the processes involved.
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of Teamcenter workflows that support business processes, including design and workflow handlers.
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of operating procedures and best practices, including the development of standards and guides for the user community.
  • Monitor the performance of applications and SQL databases used by TeamCenter, collaborating with server operations and database teams to enhance solutions, thereby minimizing application downtime and optimizing throughput.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and infrastructure architecture standards.
  • Provide support in configuration status accounting by developing reports and other traceability documentation within the TeamCenter environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 8 years of extensive experience in development, implementation, support, and maintenance of Engineering IT/PLM platforms, specifically Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Experience in working within a multinational, multi-organizational corporate environment.
  • Current holder or capability to obtain a SECRET US Defense clearance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven experience in implementing large-scale PLM (Teamcenter) deployments and managing diverse, global teams.
  • Knowledge of systems-based design along with relevant standards and processes.
  • Proficiency in presenting technical solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with US DoD ground vehicle requirements and procedural standards for vehicle development and acquisition.
  • Insight into US Army TACOM/TARDEC organizations.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Awareness of military standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to a diverse audience while establishing productive relationships. Strong consultation, diplomacy, influencing, and negotiation capabilities are essential.
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with overseas colleagues to ensure comprehensive support and information access for all staff.
