Morrison Living is seeking to fill the position of Food Service Worker immediately.

  • Location: Story Point, 2000 32nd Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.
  • Schedule: Both full-time and part-time positions are available; weekend availability is required. Working hours are from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
  • Requirements: No prior experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Compensation: The pay rate is $13.50 per hour.

Job Summary: This role involves the preparation, presentation, and serving of food as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preparatory tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  • Accurately weigh and measure designated ingredients.
  • Transport pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, the stove, and the refrigerator, adhering to safety standards.
  • Store food properly in designated areas, following procedures for wrapping, dating, food safety, and inventory rotation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment efficiently.
  • Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure the quality, serving temperatures, and portion control are met.
  • Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, adhering to outlined service steps.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and communicate relevant information to supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with company service standards, as well as inventory and cash control procedures.
  • Uphold all sanitation and safety requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
