Position Overview: Aircraft/GSE Fueler
As an Aircraft/GSE Fueler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft refueling operations at the airport. Key responsibilities include operating fuel trucks, connecting hoses, and supervising the refueling process in compliance with safety and aviation regulations. You will also conduct fuel quantity checks, monitor equipment performance, and respond swiftly to any emergencies or spills. Maintaining accurate records, collaborating with airline personnel, and performing routine equipment inspections are essential to your role. Your efforts are vital in ensuring that aircraft are fueled and ready for departure, significantly contributing to airport safety and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fueling operations safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain precise records of fueling transactions.
  • Perform daily inspections of fueling equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality.
  • Fuel various Ground Service Equipment, including Hydrant Trucks, Fuel Trucks, Tanker Trucks, Tugs, and Belt Loaders.
  • Utilize fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts to refuel aircraft.
  • Ensure accurate loading and balancing of fuel.
  • Conduct defueling procedures as necessary.
  • Exhibit reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Work outdoors, adapting to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Uphold PrimeFlight’s customer service and safety standards.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language, including written documents.
  • Comfortable using electronic devices such as iPads/Tablets, computers, and mobile devices.
  • Capable of effective communication in person and through electronic channels.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Eligible to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (e.g., FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal).
  • Availability to work various days and shifts, including holidays, within a 24/7 operational framework.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking in indoor/outdoor environments as applicable.
  • Capability to push, pull, reach, and grasp effectively.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions.
