Job Description
Job Title: Barista, Detroit Airport
Company: Delaware North
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $16.3 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $16.30 for a “Barista” position at the Detroit Airport appears to be slightly below the competitive market rate for similar roles in the area. As of late 2023, barista wages in major urban settings like Detroit typically range from $15 to $20 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, specific location, and the employer. While some larger chains may pay closer to $16-$18 per hour, special considerations for airport roles, which often include higher foot traffic and potentially more demanding work conditions, could reasonably justify a higher pay rate. Therefore, while $16.30 is within the range for entry-level positions, it may not fully align with the expectations of experienced workers or those in high-demand locations like airports.
