Job description:

When patients arrive at our outpatient physical therapy center in Toledo, we aim to provide them with an exceptional experience starting from their first interaction at the front desk. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing both the patient and business aspects of our center. Your contributions can significantly enhance each patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting area.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients, offering clear information about what to expect during their visit and details regarding their next appointment upon checkout.
  • Schedule patient appointments both in person and via phone.
  • Maintain regular communication with various parties, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, operational leadership, and the business development team.
  • Collect co-payments from patients, handle payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in healthcare billing.
  • Background in healthcare.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in Prosthetics & Orthotics.
