As the Safety Manager for Commercial Mission Critical/Data Centers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce in construction settings across Central Ohio and other domestic locations. The position requires a commitment to uphold Caddell’s Corporate Safety Program, focusing on the implementation and adherence to safety guidelines and accident prevention measures.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop, implement, and supervise safety protocols for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with the Caddell Corporate Safety Program.
– Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Manager to formulate comprehensive safe work plans covering all project phases and crew tasks.
– Conduct daily safety inspections of active work areas, thoroughly documenting findings.
– Provide guidance to field staff regarding safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
– Facilitate initial safety orientation sessions for all new hires to promote a culture of safety from the outset.
– Monitor housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and secure work environment.
– Act as the construction safety liaison among owners, subcontractors, and project personnel.
– Prepare and submit all mandatory safety-related reports in a timely manner.
– Conduct thorough investigations following accidents or property damage incidents.
– Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.

Working Conditions:
This role operates in a construction environment and requires travel on a full-time basis. Candidates must be capable of performing physical tasks, including crawling, climbing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and lifting over 50 pounds. The position also involves navigating confined spaces and extreme heights, while ensuring personal and team safety. Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Corporate Safety Manager.
