As a Restaurant Shift Leader, you will become part of a beloved neighborhood sandwich establishment that has been delighting customers with warm, toasty sandwiches, delectable soups, signature salads, indulgent hand-dipped shakes, fresh cookies, and other custom-made menu items for over 45 years. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the Shift Leader is to embody and exemplify the values of our company. This role entails leading a shift by effectively managing and developing team members to ensure outstanding product quality and customer service, while simultaneously driving sales and controlling costs. The Shift Leader will adhere to standard operating policies and procedures in several key focus areas:

People

  • Lead team members during shifts by assigning tasks related to cleaning, line duties, and opening/closing procedures, while providing ongoing feedback and training.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to relevant personnel policies, labor laws, and safety protocols.
  • Implement and oversee all security measures, including safe procedures and opening/closing protocols.
  • Transition smoothly into opening and closing responsibilities.

Customers

  • Strive to create exceptional customer experiences.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Empower team members to ensure that every customer leaves satisfied.
  • Implement and uphold all food safety requirements and practices.

Sales

  • Guide team members in the seamless opening, transitioning, and closing of shifts with minimal supervision.
  • Organize and manage the line, delegating responsibilities appropriately to team members.
  • Uphold the highest standards of product quality.
  • Participate in line operations as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to back-of-the-house operational standards.
  • Drive revenue by executing the marketing strategy within the restaurant.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND BEHAVIORS
