Job Summary: The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and inviting guest rooms, hallways, and public areas within the hotel. This includes daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, properly stocking housekeeping carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, this role may involve performing deep cleaning activities in guest rooms alongside preventative maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in a hotel or related field is advantageous.
– Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members, orally and in writing.
– Clear conveyance of information and ideas is required.
– Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select among alternative courses of action is a must.
– Must perform well in high-pressure and stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
– Engage with guests and coworkers in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
– Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with schedule variability based on hotel needs.
– Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag while on duty, as per brand standards.
– Comply consistently with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
– Thoroughly clean and restock the assigned number of guest rooms each shift.
– Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including but not limited to the preparation of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for the housekeeping cart.
– Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
– Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
– May be required to disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
– Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, changing the AC filter, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, addressing scratches on furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
