Job Title: 2025 Management & Sales Training Program – Floorcovering

Company: Sherwin-Williams

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay: $51500 per year

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate derived from a $51,500 annual salary is approximately $24.76, which may not be competitive for a Management & Sales Training Program in the floorcovering industry, particularly in Cincinnati, OH, where entry-level salaries for similar roles often range between $40,000 to $65,000 annually based on experience and company reputation. Given that management and sales training positions typically demand higher compensation due to their strategic nature and potential for advancement, this salary may fall short of industry standards, indicating possible underpayment for the responsibilities and skills required. Thus, it may be beneficial for the employer to reassess the compensation package to attract and retain quality candidates.

Job description:

The Sherwin-Williams Floorcovering Management & Sales Training Program is a comprehensive, entry-level initiative aimed at equipping participants for a Floorcovering Facility Management or Sales Representative role within an 18 to 24-month timeframe. Emphasizing talent development from within, this program presents the opportunity for successful candidates to advance to a Floorcovering Operations Manager or Field Technician position following successful completion of an initial 8 to 12 weeks of training.

With a nationwide presence, Sherwin-Williams Floorcovering caters to professional clients across all major markets in the United States, offering significant career flexibility and consistent growth prospects. This position typically entails a work schedule of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.

Upon successful completion of the training program, candidates will transition into either a Floorcovering Operations Manager or Floorcovering Field Technician role in one of the following states:

  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • Missouri
  • Ohio

During the program, you will collaborate with facility leadership, sales teams, and regional management to oversee a multi-million-dollar business, contributing critical leadership and strategic insights. Participants will acquire in-depth knowledge of facility operations, core products, installation techniques, customer service, and client development, thus understanding the pivotal role they will play in the team’s success. Your efforts will support the expansion of the company’s market share through the sale of floorcovering materials to commercial clients, such as large property management firms, builders, and renovation contractors. You will gain valuable insights into the organizational structures of key customers and develop expertise in engaging with decision-makers involved in procurement, community management, project management, maintenance, and property development.

The training program is structured to provide you with all the competencies necessary for a successful career in facility management or professional sales. Upon completion, you can expect a defined career trajectory that offers the flexibility to shape your own future.

What You Will Gain:

Limitless Career Opportunities: This structured program offers the necessary support, including formal evaluations to assess your objectives and development.

Leadership Development: You will build a strong foundation for becoming an effective leader within our organization, mastering customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations.

Professional Networking: You will engage with the community and cultivate essential relationships that contribute to business growth and your success.

Job duties include contact with customers, potentially including minors, as well as access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other valuable items. Consequently, a review of criminal history will be conducted to safeguard the company’s operations, reputation, and the well-being of our customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
