Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Company: Beacon Specialized Living Services, Inc.

Location: Ypsilanti, MI

Pay: $16.5 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of my last update in October 2023, an hourly rate of $16.50 for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ypsilanti, MI, is generally considered below average when compared to the broader industry standards. Typically, DSPs in Michigan earn between $17 to $22 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and the particular organization. Factors such as the cost of living in Ypsilanti and competitive wages offered by nearby institutions can influence rates; however, this wage may not attract quality candidates given the responsibilities involved in supporting individuals with disabilities. Therefore, enhancing the compensation to align with or exceed the regional average could be important for recruitment and retention in this field.
