Job description:

We are actively seeking candidates for both full-time and part-time Barista positions, with immediate hiring.

Location: Atrium Medical Center – One Medical Center Drive, Middletown, OH 45005. Please note that only online applications will be accepted.

Schedule: Positions are available with both full-time and part-time schedules, primarily Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Additional weekend shifts may also be required, with more details to be provided during the interview.

Requirement: While previous experience as a barista is preferred, it is not mandatory, as we are willing to provide training to suitable candidates.

Pay Rate: The hourly wage for this position is set at $15.00.

Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and espresso beverages, as well as related food and beverage items. Adherence to HACCP guidelines and quality food service standards is crucial, along with maintaining friendly and courteous interactions with customers and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standardized recipes.
• Accurately input orders into POS devices and handle cash and charge transactions.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while ensuring cleanliness in the service area.
• Maintain proper presentation and portion control, ensuring serving temperatures adhere to HACCP standards.
• Keep equipment, supplies, and utensils sanitized and orderly.
• Utilize approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper food preparation.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstations before transitioning to other assignments.
• Greet customers with courtesy, striving to ensure satisfaction and relaying any customer concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers efficiently to prevent delays in service lines.
• Demonstrate a full understanding of the daily menu and effectively convey this information to customers.
• Utilize effective communication to support sales techniques and assist customers in their buying decisions.
• Merchandize display foods attractively per standards and serve food neatly and appealingly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
