Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team in a part-time capacity on weekends and afternoons. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a "Judgement Free" experience for all. Bilingual candidates proficient in both English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

  • Greet members and guests with exceptional customer service, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere.
  • Respond to phone inquiries in a friendly manner and assist callers with various questions.
  • Check in members, conduct tours for new members, facilitate sign-ups, log amenities, and communicate updates and events effectively.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Process beverage or merchandise transactions through the point of sale system.
  • Utilize the POS system for new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby.
  • Perform regular facility cleaning and upkeep, including mopping spills, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
  • Ensure cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds is conducted regularly.
  • Regularly clean and stock restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Candidates must undergo a seven-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent on a satisfactory result.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, exceeding expectations.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Maintain an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the timeframe required by the company and possess the physical capability to perform CPR/AED in an emergency.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, with frequent movements including stooping, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and repetitive hand motions.
