Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills is seeking a hospitality-oriented Cook to join our dedicated team. This role encompasses comprehensive, hands-on production cooking within the Community Culinary Services Department, and it is vital to uphold the highest standards of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

Key responsibilities of the Cook position include:

– Consistently exemplifying the community’s standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
– Ensuring adherence to food quality, presentation, and appearance standards.
– Preparing and serving menu cycle programs in compliance with Nutritional/Dietary criteria mandated by local regulations and following established policies and procedures for dietary preparations.
– Demonstrating proficiency in cooking speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
– Showcasing knowledge across all aspects of food preparation and cooking processes.
– Assisting with meal service and dishwashing as needed.
– Engaging with residents periodically to assess food quality, quantity, temperature, and presentation; using feedback to enhance food service operations and procedures.
– Representing the community in a warm and welcoming manner that fosters a positive marketing environment.
– Contributing to a culture where the activities and decisions made in this role, combined with individual employee engagement, support revenue growth and occupancy rates.

The ideal qualifications for this position include:

– A high school diploma.
– A culinary degree is preferred.
– A minimum of one year of cooking experience in a restaurant, senior living environment, or a comparable setting.
