Vector Technical’s partner, Ryder, is currently seeking dedicated 2nd Shift Warehouse Material Handlers to enhance their successful operations.
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Compensation: $19.50 per hour
Position Overview:
As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will be responsible for accurately transferring products into and out of warehouse locations, loading and unloading trailers, and moving products throughout the facility using powered industrial equipment. You will also perform inventory counts as required, ensuring the integrity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, and apply instructions from the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure efficient order processing.
- Identify and rectify potential process errors proactively to prevent negative impacts on customer satisfaction.
- Detect damaged products during the warehousing process and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Accurately pull and stage orders as assigned, ensuring alignment with carrier locations and verifying the number of pallets picked and their respective staging locations.
- Prepare and manage receiving, storage, and shipping documentation to maintain product accountability throughout the logistical process.
- Adhere to and uphold safety and security policies and procedures specific to the location and work center.
- Perform regular housekeeping duties and other assigned responsibilities to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery; certification is not required at this time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of relevant warehouse experience and/or powered industrial lift experience is required.
- Proficient in reading, performing basic mathematics, and comprehending written and verbal instructions in English for safety and operational purposes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and navigate high-traffic areas safely.
- Competence in inputting data into various WMS computer systems.
- Availability to work overtime as necessary.
