Job description:

A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel are clean and visually appealing. This includes daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, stocking housekeeping carts with necessary supplies, changing bed linens, and replenishing various amenities, all while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, this role may be tasked with performing deep cleaning activities in guest rooms and carrying out preventative maintenance tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in the hospitality industry or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and team members.
  • Ability to clearly articulate information and ideas.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms each shift.
  • Complete pre-cleaning tasks such as preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for the housekeeping cart setup.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linens from guest rooms.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • May be required to disassemble furniture or items within guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
  • Engage in deep cleaning activities that may include changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, addressing scratches on furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
