Schedule:

  • 85% of driver routes allow for daily home time.
  • Typical scheduling is 4 days at 12 hours each.
  • Saturday deliveries may be required.
  • Coverage for driver vacations may involve some night routes and overnight stays at hotels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
  • Unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and ensure proper placement in designated storage areas at customer locations.
  • Confirm delivery accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Manage collections and payments from customers when necessary.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to enhance the client experience.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling between 20 to 80+ lbs of product repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications:

  • Registration in the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence, including necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, is mandatory.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months of commercial driving experience specifically in food and beverage delivery.
  • Proficiency in operating a manual transmission is preferred and may be required in certain locations.
  • Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English, which includes holding conversations, understanding highway signs and signals, responding to inquiries, and documenting information in reports.
