Job description:

As a cornerstone of our outpatient physical therapy center in Chillicothe, the Patient Service Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional experience for our patients from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for managing both the patient and business aspects of our center, making a significant impact on each patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting area.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and register patients, providing information regarding their visit and details about subsequent appointments during check-out.
• Schedule patient appointments both in-person and over the phone.
• Maintain regular communication with external parties, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
• Collect patient co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications efficiently.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred:

• Experience in insurance verification.
• Background in the healthcare sector.
