Job description:

The Line Cook plays a vital role in our culinary team, contributing to the delivery of an extraordinary dining experience through the precise execution of dishes and recipes. This position aims to create a Craveable, Instagramable, and unforgettable atmosphere that encourages guests to return.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dishes according to the station assignments outlined by the Chef or Sous Chefs.
  • Execute all menu items proficiently for the stations assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to safety and emergency procedures within the kitchen.
  • Read and interpret food tickets accurately.
  • Utilize standardized recipe cards and plating guides effectively.
  • Consistently prepare all food products to uphold our quality standards, resulting in positive guest feedback.
  • Ensure timely order completion from the kitchen to the dining room.
  • Complete all assigned tasks before the end of the shift and communicate departure with the Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef on duty.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage and production areas throughout the day.
  • Adhere to health department mandates and corporate guidelines to maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Assist fellow kitchen staff with cleaning, cooking, prepping, and receiving as needed.
  • Follow all health department sanitation requirements diligently.
  • Approach all tasks with enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism.
  • Maintain open and effective communication standards with colleagues and management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a high-volume or fast-casual dining restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with the public and coworkers in a warm, enthusiastic, and approachable manner.
  • Capability to stand and maintain mobility for extended periods, up to eight hours, while fostering a positive demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours is essential.
  • Availability to work shifts exceeding eight hours per day.
