Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu, recommending cocktails and appetizers, suggesting courses, detailing chef’s specialties, identifying suitable wines, answering food preparation queries, and accommodating customers’ dietary needs.
  • Record patrons’ choices and transmit orders to the bar and kitchen, while noting any special dietary requirements.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to monitor and manage the progression of meal service.
  • Serve orders by collecting and delivering patrons’ selections, including accompaniments and condiments as requested.
  • Address additional patron needs by proactively inquiring and observing the dining experience.
  • Maintain the dining area by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing any spills or special requests.
  • Process payments by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and ensuring the return of change or credit card slips.
  • Uphold sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect both the establishment and its patrons.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Some high school education or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical skills applicable to cash handling (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
