Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities include preparing and cooking food in designated stations, maintaining cleanliness in preparation areas, and ensuring the kitchen is well stocked.
Responsibilities:
– Set up cooking stations and stock them with necessary preparation supplies
– Prepare food on the line as needed, including cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces
– Cook menu items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, sautéing, and broiling in accordance with quality guidelines and standardized recipes
– Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards by adhering to a restaurant cleaning checklist that complies with state and local food safety and sanitation regulations
– Handle and store food safely and appropriately
– Conduct inventory counts before and after shifts and complete food inventory or storage sheets
– Availability to work weekends, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds
